In recent days I have found that whenever I put Call of Duty 4 (CoD4) into my Xbox 360, I immediately have an overwhelming desire to take it back out.

You see, I don’t really like CoD4. Firstly, I don’t know the maps. When I re-spawn (which happens with unfortunate frequency), I inevitably run into the one location on the map where every enemy has a clear line of sight, which means that I re-spawn. Again.

Practice, Practice, Practice is all it takes. It also helps if you want to get better online is to play people that are much better than you. Learn from what they do. Although it must be noted that a small or large (Depending on your views) part of Gaming Skill is natural talent. Hand Eye Coordination, Reaction Time, Reflexes and Split Second Decision Making are all key factors.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Smiley

Very true, Paustinj. Of course, a significant amount of my gaming suck-i-tude is also natural talent (or lack thereof). Lack of coordination, slow reaction time and split hour decision making are all attributes I enjoy. Wink

I know I could practise and get better, but I hear a rhythm game calling my name.

Talent I haz non.  Grin

Hmmm, I like pretty graphics and mash buttons fairly slowly but I make up for it by being inconsistent.   The only time I quit is when I'm in a public match and I get a game invite from a friend.  But only if it's early in the match or if I am not doing exceptionally well.

This article has new meaning to me after playing Ninja Gaiden 2 on Master Ninja.  Anyone who has tried knows exactly what I am talking about.  You feel the need to get that last major accomplishment and yet when you try...it's not really that fun.  Mentor FTW!!
