The Other Me - Syntack

by Kiki Lewis [kiki kat]

One of things about the Internet is that it allows you to have a wide range of friends that you may not normally meet in your everyday walking-about life. Syntack is one of those. We met via the Xbox.com forums, after I had to ban his ass for being a rabblerouser! Actually, that’s not true. We did meet via the Xbox.com forums, but, Burty is far from being a rabblerouser. He actually is very polite, and I am constantly having to tell him to loosen up! That’s funny advice from someone who is old enough to be your mom (barely!).

Syntack (aka Sean) is a 17-year-old going into his senior year of high school. He has always been an honor student, and is known for his computer work at school. He even claims to have been suspended for “hacking” his school’s computer system during his Freshman year (he feel it was completely unjustified, of course). Though he feel that he should go into computers and programing as a carreer since they have always come easily to him, he states that Physics will play a bigger part in my future. (Smart move Burty! take it from the voice of experience… do what you love!) He plans on going into engineering at University of Illinois, and moving to Colorado after college.

The story of “The Snowboarder”

I started snowboarding around seven years ago, basically because of my dad. I started off skiing for a few years and one day I came to the conclusion that I hated it. He decided that he would punish me by strapping me to a board for weekend, and I ended up loving it. Actually I just made that up… I did get bored with skiing, but I was the one who decided I wanted to snowboard. In no way was if fun the first few times either.
Unfortunatley I can’t do many jumps anymore due to my knees dislocating, but I still find other things to tweak so I don’t get totally bored! I love it though, and would recommend the sport to anyone. Keep in mind… the first three days will be pure hell, and after that you’ll find out you really like it.

Best Snack Food while Snowboarding

Snow… You have an endless supply to eat, and yes I stay clear of the yellow stuff.

Time Commitement

About 20 days a year. I wish I could spend more, but sadly I can’t.

Career Options

Haha… I wish.
I could though… I could teach snow school if my other job doesn’t take up all of my time.

Hobby related injuries?

Plenty of dislocated knees… Not fun at all.

Most Exciting Snowboarding Moment

Probably when I first got riding switch (goofy) down.

I like all of the consoles, but most of my time is dedicated to my Xbox360. It’s a man’s best friend

Gaming/Snowboarding Interactions

I probably wouldn’t have even tried snowboarding if it weren’t for SSX. That game made the sport look very sweet.

Thoughts while Snowboarding

I usually invision myself as a paintbrush. It’s like I’m painting on the mountain, or as I call it “my canvas”.

Joke

How dare you force me to tell a joke on the spot!
Grumble grumble…
When a snail crossed the road, he was run over by a turtle. Regaining consciousness in the emergency room, he was asked what caused the accident. “I really can’t remember,” the snail replied. “You see, it all happened so fast.”
